With autumn fully arriving and the majority of 2024’s major shows out of the way, businesses are beginning to focus on their plans for 2025 and next year’s exhibition schedule. 2024 has proven a real success for DCE Agency’s clients, with numerous wins across the globe and new connections fostered, sales made and impressions left. As we start to compile plans and get creative for Q4 and the year ahead, our design team are seeing some repeated requests; so allow us to share our pick of the top tech and trends for 2025’s shows…

Integrating Immersive Experiences
While AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality) have certainly been buzzwords in the industry for a while, we’re beginning to find greater demand from exhibitors to incorporate such experiences in their stand design to really grab attention and hold engagement amongst attendees. AR allows for digital elements to be layered over physical displays, whereas VR provides a whole different reality around the user.
When combined with the interactivity and touchscreen usage that has grown so popular over the last few years at shows, adding in truly immersive experiences really transform the ways in which exhibition stands and their brands can communicate.
Combining the physical experience of attending a stand with a digital one is known as ‘phygital’ integration; that is, ‘physical-digital’ experiences.
Enhanced Focus on Sustainability
DCE Agency have long been sustainability champions – working with a Carbon Neutral logistics provider and always looking to provide ideas on reducing, recycling and reuse. We always work with clients to create the greenest possible stands; and ship stands around the world for repeated reuse for most.
Using recycled materials and biodegradable products in stand construction alongside features such as living walls and modular designs, we’re able to make physical presence at shows as sustainable at it can be, and this will continue through 2025.

IoT and Smart Tech Integration
Another feature that can contribute to a stand’s sustainability credentials is the integration or smart technology, including automated lighting systems to adjust levels dependent on flow to reduce energy consumption.
Furthermore, embedding Internet of Things (IoT) devices into a stand can help track visitor behaviour such as dwell time, engagement levels and call to action interaction. This provides valuable data and business insights for future exhibition activity and to help gain buy-in for other shows.
Minimalism
Standing out amongst a crowded exhibition hall can be difficult to achieve, and often, less is more. Minimalism in a stand design allows for the spotlight to be on a desired product, service or other brand feature for maximum impact.
The most can be made of a space without crowding in lots of features – let the DCE Agency design team utilise your area in the best way possible without clutter. You may just be surprised by how much so little can achieve!
