Techdata Case Study

DCE Agency Ltd were asked to support Techdata’s marketing team by supplying pre and post event marketing services for Infosec 2018. The project enabled us to fully illustrate the advantages of an integrated marketing campaign when planning a show of this size. We were briefed on the client objectives, the audience, (VAR)  and the resource available at Techdata, and the services required from ourselves.

The Brief



After meeting the Marketing Director, the Social Media Manager, the Event coordinator and the Digital Marketing Manager we set about with providing a campaign strategy, a campaign timeline, content framework for social channels, and content for 6x mailings leading up to, and following, Infosec.  We also delivered concepts for a competition that would capture interest from the VAR channel, and vendors visiting the show supported by our MarTech team.


Our clients enjoy working with the timeline and having the scheduled regular meetings to discuss the status of the project. In this instance they were vital to keeping the marketing elements on track especially when working with quite a large internal team.



Our Marketing team liaised weekly with their peers in TechData, to understand how best to communicate their message to their audience, and ensure the platforms and channels were providing the best results. The campaign was a success.
